chatgpt can help in task management and reminders

OpenAI is bringing an exciting new Beta feature in ChatGTP called Tasks which is designed to allow users to schedule future actions and reminders. This feature is being rolled out for Team, Plus, and Pro subscribers to transform the Chabot into more traditional digital assistance, imagine Google Assistant or Siri, however, enhanced with ChatGPT’s superior language skills.

With Tasks, the users can easily transform ChatGPT of their needs and the timing for those tasks. Whether they wish for a daily weather update at 7 AM or a reminder to renew their passport, ChatGPT can now manage everything through one-time or recurring tasks.

OpenAI introduces Tasks to plan your day

To access this feature, subscribers just need to select ‘4o with scheduled tasks’ in the model picker of ChatGPT. After that, it is as easy as typing out requests and specifying when users want it completed. The system can also offer proactive task suggestions that are based on their conversations, however, users must approve any suggestions before they are finalized.

Users can manage all their tasks directly within chat threads or they can also manage tasks through a new Tasks section in the profile menu, which as of now is only available on the web.

This makes it quite simple to modify or cancel any scheduled tasks. Once tasks are completed, users will receive a notification about the same on web, desktop, and mobile devices. However, there is a cap of 10 active tasks that can be managed at the same time.

OpenAI has not indicated when or if this feature will be available for free to users without a subscription. Currently, it remains a premium offering to help justify the subscription costs of ChatGPT

Nonetheless, there are still concerns about the reliability of these scheduled tasks and what might happen if ChatGPT fails to offer timely information.
