Microsoft Just Fixed its Windows 11 VPN Bug! Update Now & Enjoy Secure Browsing Again

We all know that the April 2024 Windows 11 update included a bug that prevented some PCs from connecting to a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Well, apparently Microsoft has fixed that issue with their latest update.

Earlier last month, Microsoft announced that the latest update for April 2024 might break VPN connections and this bug impacted many Windows versions, including Windows 11, Windows 10, and more.

And while Microsoft did not state what caused the issue in the first place, they did ask users to get help from the Windows Get Help app.

Just two weeks after this announcement, Microsoft is back with an update on the issue. They have stated that the bug has been fixed and will be rolled out with the May 2024 update.

The complete list of Windows versions affected by the bug as well as the cumulative updates that will fix the issue, include:

Users who cannot immediately install this month’s patch might be able to get it fixed by uninstalling the April update.

This is not the first time that Windows is facing this VPN issue. Just last year, Microsoft had acknowledged that major L2TP/IPsec VPN speed issues were being experienced over Wi-Fi connections after being installed on April 2023,
