News » Can’t Upgrade Fallout 4 PS Plus Version? You’re Not Alone
Fans were all fired up when Bethesda made the new Fallout 4 update free for all PS Plus users. But still, with the update hanging in the wild, players who picked up the game from PlayStation found that they could not download the game and were instead prompted to pay for it.
The good news is that Bethesda Studios has acknowledged that they are aware of the issue and are working to fix it.
Still in their update on Discord and later on Twitter, a spokesperson from the studio stated, “We’ve seen some confusion regarding the free Fallout 4 next-gen update for PlayStation Plus Extra members. The Fallout 4 update will be available to members via the Game Catalog. Your patience is appreciated while our teams work on this.”

This is where the bad news comes in, Bethesda Studios has yet to give us a timeframe in which the issue will be fixed. IGN tweeted, asking Bethesda if there are any plans to refund players who purchased the game before the statement was made.
And while PlayStation players are having issues, there is no news about it from any Xbox game pass players as of yet.
