The previously delayed feature from the San Francisco-based startup is now here officially. ChatGPT has introduced its groundbreaking voice assistant, which is accessible to all paid users. This is a major leap forward in AI-powered communication. The feature allows users to engage in real-time conversation with ChatGPT, offering a more natural and hands-free experience. Enterprise and edu-paid users will begin getting access to the feature next week, announced by the company.

In May during an event launch, OpenAI teased this product and showcased how quickly it responded to written and visual prompts from users with a spoken voice. But the next month, OpenAI delayed launching the option to work through potential safety risks. OpenAI began rolling out the capability to select ChatGPT Plus users in July.

They also stated that it has implemented a new filter to ensure that the software is capable of recognizing and declining requests to generate all forms of piracy-protected audio.

ChatGPT has also made a point of stressing how important user security and privacy are for them. They make sure that all voice interactions are treated with the same degree of encryption and privacy as text-based discussions.

“We’re excited to offer this new way for users to interact with ChatGPT,” said an OpenAI spokesperson. “Our goal is to make AI even more accessible and user-friendly, empowering people to work smarter and more efficiently.”

With this rollout, OpenAI continues to lead the way in evolving AI-driven solutions for everyday tasks.
