Meta will be rolling out this new artificial intelligence assistant to your favorite social media and chat sites soon. On Thursday, the company announced that it will release this AI assistant across its social media platforms, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger.
After the metaverse, this new assistant will be Meta’s biggest push into AI as of yet. In his video keynote, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the assistant is based on Meta’s in-house large language model called the Lama 3.
And, according to Mark, this AI assistant will be one of the most intelligent AI assistants that you can freely use.
So, what does the Lama 3 have in store for you?
From planning a weekend getaway to recommending a restaurant with sunset views and vegan options, it can even help you cram for your tests too. The assistant will be built into the search box of Meta’s social platforms and messengers and users just need to type in their questions to get real-time answers from the assistant.
The Meta AI is also accessible from the “meta.ai” website, where users can ask the assistant for things like solving math problems, writing personal emails, and much more.
And the AI image generation feature of Lama 3 will be available in beta on WhatsApp and the MetaAI site. To generate an image, users simply need to start typing, and MetaAI will suggest prompts to refine or change the image.
Meta has also partnered up with major search engines to bring you real-time results for your queries.
The AI assistant is set to release this Thursday and it will be rolling out primarily with native English language support across major countries like the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
