LG’s Signature OLED T: A Transparent TV Redefining Home Entertainment

The most desired televisions captivate viewers with their stunning picture quality. It is an innovative model recently launched on the market and boasts an extraordinary feature of display that the viewers can see right through. 

It was revealed earlier this year that at the CES event in Las Vegas, LG’s signature OLED T ($59,999) will offer a glimpse into a futuristic world reminiscent of films such as ‘Minority Report’. It is where visuals and videos look like to float on invisible screens. 

The 77-inch marvel has all the remarkable qualities of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology and displays it well. It delivers breathtaking 4K video with rich colors and impressive contrast. However, this innovative display also consists of the ability to become transparent. 

It is imagined as a clear sheet of glass that morphs into a ‘breathtaking high-resolution display’, as it has been described by the founder and co-owner of the Video & Audio Center in Los Angeles, Joseph Akhtarzad. 

He became the first retailer to offer these displays and also mentioned that they effortlessly get added into any home setting. The 10-inch-deep screen remains see-through when the users are not watching anything, it makes it a versatile addition to the living space. 

Vice President of LG Electronics home entertainment division, Andrew Sivori expressed in an interview, “Choosing a spot for a TV in a home is typically determined by the available wall space. “Transparent OLED… allows you to position the TV wherever you desire without sacrificing the room’s aesthetics or your views.”

This luxurious new OLED TV comes with a hefty price tag and affluent buyers may have to experience it firsthand to appreciate its capabilities. Sivori also remarked, “Until customers see it up close, they struggle to comprehend the concept of ‘clear’ and ‘TV’ coexisting in the same sentence.”
