Computer Use allows Claude to control the user’s mouse cursor while operating the computer similar to humans. It has the capability to work on repetitive tasks and gather information from separate places. Moreover, early users describe how Computer Use is suitable for every kind of work like complex coding works and deep research without human interference.
“Anthropic just released the most amazing AI technology I’ve ever used. I’m not kidding,” startup founder Alex Finn posted to X (formerly Twitter). “It’s legit changing day to day.”
In addition to the features of Claude Computer Use, it can see a screen through screenshots. It is capable of browsing multiple tabs and websites and works on split screens. The mouse cursor moves like humans do their work and types text automatically.
Flinn added, “It basically gives you superpowers.”
Furthermore, Anthropic researchers showed various demo videos to highlight the Claude functions. For example, Flinn asked Claude to search for trending AI news, then it opened a browser and typed “Reuters”. Go through to navigate the AI section. Repeatedly, it searches for “The Verge” and “Tech Crunch”. In the end, it offered him six trending AI news stories.
