Good news for iPhone 16 buyers!

Apple has now worked to make iPhone 16 and 16 plus repairing and battery replacement easier than traditional iPhones. Additionally, iPhone 16 batteries are removable with low-voltage current which makes them ideal for removing at home.

However, most homes are not designed to do tech chaos and people are also not confident in doing tech-related tasks at their own risk. So, iFixit has launched a mini tool that helps to remove iPhone 16 batteries easily in a few seconds.

As noted by The Verge, Apple’s official repair documents say that using up to 30V of power results in “faster removal times.” However, iFixit says it wanted to “keep things simple and low cost out of the gate” with its VoltClip.

iFixit develops the USB-C supporter tool which delivers 9-12 volts which is enough to detach the battery from the iPhone easily. The tool features a pair of short wires with two ends, alligator clips support one end, and the other end has a 12V DC adaptor that converts this tool into a USB-C port.

If you are planning to buy iFixit’s VoltClip, you can order this tool from the official website for $10.95. Moreover, you can read the full guide on how to use iFixit VoltClip to replace iPhone 16 battery within 60 to 90 seconds.

Is it worth spending $10.95 to buy VoltClip from iFixit?

Absolutely, because iFixit has revealed other uses of this tool. It can be helpful to rejuvenate a dead smart door lock temporarily.

iFixit plans to deliver the bundle of VoltClip with Apple’s iPhone 16 repair kit but it is not officially revealed.
