New Leak: Google Pixel 8A Gets 7 Years of Security Patches

There are already a bunch of leaked images of the Pixel 8a floating around the internet, but there has been little to no information on what we can expect from the device or what Google is planning to do with it.

But a new leak by Android Headlines has given us what we’ve all been waiting for. The promotional images posted on their blog suggest that Google’s new mid-ranger will not only be a great device, but it will also be a long-lasting one.

 The leak shows that the Google Pixel 8a will be getting seven years’ worth of security updates but there is no clarity if these updates will include OS upgrades or not. Still, seven years is a pretty big jump considering Google previously only promised up to five years of security and three major OS upgrades.

Aside from all this, the leak shared by Android Headlines also suggests that the Pixel 8a will be sporting the same G3 Tensor that came with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. The images in the leaks also mention that the phone will have fast charging capabilities, a reliable all-day battery backup, and IP67 water resistance.

The phone will also come packed with Google’s noise-cancellation feature for a more clearer calls, not to mention all the new AI upgrades that Google already brought to the Pixel lineup.Past leaks suggest that the Pixel 8a will come in 4 different colors.
