Google launched the Pixel Watch 3 in August alongside the Pixel 9 series. It is the first OS smartwatch with the integration of an advanced Ultra-Wideband (UWB) chip.
The features of the ultra-wideband chip enable tracking the location of devices with the help of the “Find My Device” network. Moreover, it can unlock the car and you can operate your smartwatch as a digital car key. Google Pixel Watch 3 includes a bigger dial size that fits larger wrists and new safety measures.
As per the leaked coded reports, the Pixel Watch 3 has the Google Play Services beta (24.35.30 version). The UWB chip enables the Unlock Watch feature connected with Pixel smartphones. However, the chip on the Pixel Watch will switch to Bluetooth when the Airplane mode is turned on. Therefore, the watch may work slower due to returning to Bluetooth connectivity. It is also notable that UWB doesn’t support the Pixel Watch 3 when the Airplane mode is turned off.

In addition to the features of an ultra-wideband chip, you have options to enable “Use Watch Unlock” and “Use Watch Unlock without Ultra-Wideband” in the settings. Google’s efforts to exceed Pixel Watch features over the Apple Watch series.
