It was revealed last week that Apple is getting ready to launch the iPhone SE 4, potentially in tandem with the new M4 MacBook Air and iPad Air series. However, there are fresh updates that suggest that the iPhone SE 4 might make its debut even sooner, probably this week.
It might be launched early with a revamped design and a price point higher than SE 3, however, it remains under the $500 threshold. Mark Gurman, a renowned industry analyst in his latest Power On newsletter focuses that the iPhone SE 4 is set to be launched this week.
Earlier, he indicated that a next-week release, but this new information matches with his earlier predictions, reinforcing the anticipated timeline. Gurman has expressed his confidence in this launch and if what he says is true, the arrival of a completely designed iPhone SE 4 could be as early as midweek.
As of now, Apple has not launched any invitations for an event which raises the possibility that the iPhone SE 4 may be revealed through a press release. This approach is similar to the previous launch of Apple’s M4 MacBook Air Series.
These models were announced through a press release because of the internal upgrades while maintaining the same design. However, it would be logical for Apple to host a special event for the iPhone SE 4 also, since the design is similar to the iPhone 16, the choice for a press release instead of a full-fledged event is justified.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to present a design that is similar to the iPhone 14 or iPhone 16, based on whether Apple opts for a small notch or the Dynamic Island feature.
Earlier reports suggest that the SE 4 could come with Apple’s custom A18 chip which is necessary for the advanced Apple Intelligence features of the company.
