In September, Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 2, the first-ever earbuds to offer a hearing aid feature, proving its superiority over its rivals. This isn’t the first time the tech giant has provided such innovative tech. Since the launch, the company has been waiting for the FDA to approve the device and finally, Apple has it now. However, in the meantime, this hearing health feature will only be available to the U.S. and Canada.

If you are residing in these countries along with you have a device with compatible hardware running the latest software iOS 18.1, you will be able to use this amazing capability.

The main reason for its limited release is probably because Apple is waiting for more health regulators to approve the device and might want the local regulators to test and approve the capabilities of AirPods Pro 2.

With this device coming out, we may be able to enter a period where people might start wearing the AirPods all the time and there won’t be any hesitation to talk with them being on. There always have been this perception that leaving your earbuds in while talking with other people is rude. To show people that you have their undivided attention, you have to remove the earbuds, even with the transparency option. But this new AirPods Pro 2 feature probably be able to remove this prejudice along with the stigma that comes with hearing aids.

This launch is a milestone for Apple as this advancement will be able to help change people’s quality of life. The product shows Apple’s commitment to providing top-notch, groundbreaking devices. And also it seems inevitable that other tech heavyweights would be able to bring something like this quickly.
