OpenAI has launched a new advanced feature ChatGPT “Canvas” to refine your writing and coding projects. Canvas automatically opens in a separate window next to ChatGPT and allows you to alter the text and code generated by ChatGPT.

According to The Verge, OpenAI said in its announcement, “With canvas, ChatGPT can better understand the context of what you’re trying to accomplish. “Making AI more useful and accessible requires rethinking how we interact with it. Canvas is a new approach and the first major update to ChatGPT’s visual interface since we launched two years ago.”

The Canvas is built in beta version and has access while selecting the model picker of GPT-4o. OpenAI also announced that a new interactive Canvas is available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users worldwide. The AI company also revealed that “Enterprise and Edu users will get access next week” and ChatGPT free users are only unrestricted when the version is out of beta.
