|Updated at February 27, 2025

visionOS 2.4 gears up to launch Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro. There will also be the addition of a new Spatial Gallery app and an iPhone application for remote installations, thus enhancing guest flow via iPhone and iPad.

The last major upgrade was visionOS 2.2, which rolled out in December and introduced Wide and Ultrawide Mac Virtual Display modes. While visionOS 2.3 has been about fixing bugs and improving on security.

Currently, the first beta version of visionOS 2.4 is being made available to developers, with Apple stating a stable launch version is being prepared for April release. The initial beta doesn’t contain such features as the final one would.

visionOS 2.4 launches Apple Intelligence to Vision Pro

Apple Intelligence refers to generative AI features of the company, some going directly on-device, while others are processed via Private Cloud Compute (PCC) servers.

Last year, Apple Intelligence was launched on iPhones (15 Pro and above), iPads (from M-series or A17 Pro chips), and Macs (with M-series chips), but whether Vision Pro was going to be the last missing element was still unclear.

Spatial Gallery is Apple’s new app for visionOS, presenting an eclectic selection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramas by artists, filmmakers, and photographers.

Upon launch, Apple promises that extraordinary perspectives will be provided from photographers like Jonpaul Douglass and Samba Diop. It will offer new narratives and experiences from world-renowned brands like Cirque du Soleil, Red Bull, and Porsche; behind-the-scenes glimpses from Apple Originals such as Disclaimer, Severance, and Shrinking.

The new Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone allows users to remotely queue apps for download and installation on their headsets. They can also check device information, and browse curated recommendations for the best visionOS content. My Vision Pro emphasizes providing device tips, showing the current visionOS version, showing the serial number, and allowing users to set up Personalized Spatial Audio by scanning their faces using the iPhone’s TrueDepth sensor.
