Ghost of Tsushima Soars on Steam Deck, But PSN Login for Legends Mode Stings

Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut has been out for PC for a while now and sadly Sony’s mandate for players to sign in to a PSN account to play the Co-op mode is quite annoying. You might remember that Sony tried to do the same with Helldivers 2 and players everywhere lobbied together to make the company give up on carrying out the action.

But Ghost of Tsushima is not that lucky. Because of the sign-in to PNS requirement, the Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut on Windows means that the game is missing a huge chunk of the Steam Deck release.

While the players can still play through the game on Singleplayer campaigns, any other thoughts on Multiplayer mode is a good resounding no. And this can be especially irritating. The game is full of weighty, methodical sword fighting, which it handles pretty beautifully.

Not to mention, the Steam Deck’s controls and performance make the game even more beautiful and immersive.

And while the game is pretty battery-hungry, the Steam Deck gives you an uninterrupted 2 hours of gameplay on a single charge. But coming back to the PSN login requirement, it can be very annoying as it outright blocks players from playing a huge chunk of the game that is hidden behind the lock screen.
