Elon Musk’s Grok Bot Users Generate Misleading AI Images. Sparks Rumors About Political Leaders and Celebrities

AI-generated content so far has blown up for its popularity as one of the most exciting yet misused technologies. Recently, the new AI Grok Bot of Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) has been under fire for generating various misleading, violent, vulgar, and disturbing images. The images generated by the new model have gone viral.

The beta versions of xAI’s Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini have been released to premium X subscribers. Easily accessible to many users, many contentious images have been shared.

Amid the U.S. presidential elections, political leaders like Trump, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden have been impacted. People have generated and shared images of Donald Trump using a rifle, flying a plane into the World Trade Center buildings, Joe Biden standing in an adult diaper and Kamala Harris having a baby with Trump.

The AI bot has lacked most of the safety guardrails, as people claim that they have been able to deceive the bot into developing vulgar pictures of Kamala Harris and Taylor Swift in lingerie as well.

Also, it has generated horrific images of Disney and Nintendo, which has proven the fact that these AI bots have been trained on copyrighted content. But that has been denied by their developers. 

When the other Bots created inappropriate images, directors at Google, Meta and Microsoft all apologized and took strict measures to prevent safe generation. AI tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT have been blocked for disobeying rules on misinformation and abuse.

Many images of Elon Musk himself have also gone viral. Him eating steak in a public park and the most controversial is the image of him kissing Donald Trump.

Despite such a mess made by xAI’s Grok-2, the response of Musk is very casual and praises it as “Grok is the most fun AI in the world!”
