Apple is prepping to launch an AI wall tablet for home control equipped with Apple Intelligence and redesign Siri.
After developing a variety of products, Apple intends to focus on smart home accessories. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s report, Apple is planning to launch a 6-inch smart display like an iPad as a “Command Center” for home.
Probably, the device has square edges instead of rectangular ones and thick bezels around the verges. A camera is also placed on the display top to feature video calling. It has internal speakers for music and a built-in rechargeable battery.
Apple aims to release a smart display with extra features including Apple News, Apple Music, Notes, Calendar, and Photos. Besides, the smart display is designed for customizable widgets that display weather, upcoming appointments, a photo slideshow, or important home controls.
Additionally, the smart home hub will run the operating system which will be a mixture of iPhone Standby mode and watchOS. Apple rolling out security features like providing alerts and camera footage that are connected with the smart home hubs.
With the launch of the smart home hub, Apple aspires to compete with its rivals Google and Amazon. Google has Nest Hub Max and Amazon has Echo Hub devices which are similar to Apple’s smart home hub. The company needs to adjust the prices like its competitors, ranging between $150 and $230.
Apple is expected to work on smart home cameras with wireless connectivity and built-in Apple Intelligence will launch in 2026. The company has future plans to build robotic versions of the smart home hubs, costing around $1000.
