Google Gemini used to give real-time responses to web users only, but that will be changing very soon. Google will soon be rolling out this feature for their Android app users as well. The change was first found by Piunikaweb, this new functionality on the Gemini app will make the AI chatbot feel more intuitive.
This means that the users will be able to take a look at the responses as they are generated and not wait for the complete response to load to get their answers. To enable the feature, you simply need to head into the Gemini apps settings menu and toggle the option. Once on, the responses from the chatbot will load much faster because they will be displayed in real-time.
As of right now, Google is still testing the feature and might roll it out to only a few eligible smartphones in the coming days. This update will make the text generation process on Gemini feel quite similar to what ChatGPT does, where the text appears in a phased manner.
While this update will not make Gemini any faster than it already is, being able to read the responses as they are being generated will let users feel like it has become faster. Google has already integrated Gemini AI into the Google app and we can expect to see a similar feature coming to iOS in the days to come.
Aside from this, the next version of the Gemini app is also said to introduce the “Use location from your device” feature, where users can choose if they want to share their location with Gemini or not.
