Samsung’s Unpacked event going to take place in July is approaching when the company will show off its recent foldable smartphones. Through tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, who also is on OnLeaks, the first details about the flagship Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be revealed.
OnLeaks has already shown CAD renders from his part leading to image leakage of phones. The upcoming foldable model is supposed to have a somewhat smaller frame as compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a thickness measurement of around 4.5mm. This further makes it a little bit leaner from both the Fold 6 and the Fold 6E.
There is one strong point, the addition of a rounded corner rather than the sharp edge proper of Samsung. The Z Fold 7’s design, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra design that was recently unveiled during the inaugural Unpacked event of the year on January 23rd, is rounder in comparison to its predecessors.
Some publications are already reporting about a larger, slenderer, and lighter model that would be an improved version of the Z Fold 6. Still, others claim that the device would probably be slimmer than the 8.6mm 0.34-inch S24 Ultra.
Possibly, Fold 6E has parts powered for Fold 7, speaking to a 6.5-inch fold display and 8-inch unfolded panel AMOLED. According to the rumors, it is believed that Samsung will use its very own Exynos 2500 in this year’s foldable, even though it is believed that the processor lying under the hood of the Fold 7 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, just like the S25 series.
The battery technology has not changed for some years by Samsung, thus we can expect a similar 4,400 mAh battery in the new foldable. However, it is said that the battery life is slightly improved by switching to a more optimized chipset without any bigger batteries.
