The tech giant Apple is officially here to celebrate the 10th birthday of Apple smartwatches. At the “Glowtime” event, Apple officially launched the brand-new Apple Watch Series 10 with a bigger display and 10% thinner body than the Series 9, measuring in at 9.6mm.
The world’s bestselling watch features the biggest, most advanced display with sleep apnea notifications, faster charging, and water depth and temperature sensing.
The company used the occasion to announce a detect sleep apnea tool that will be available on last year’s watch models, too. The speaker has been enhanced, and for the first time, users will be able to enjoy music and podcasts directly on the wearable without AirPods.
A fresh battery pack delivers 80% battery capacity within 30 minutes. The company says the battery will last for 18 hours when fully charged.
The Series 10 now features a depth sensor for aquatic pursuits. Apple says that snorkeling is a good way to use the Ultra’s features instead of scuba diving. The Tides application has also been included, catering to surfers and similar users.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is available in both aluminum and titanium, in a variety of striking hues and finishes. Jet black is a new polished aluminum finish that is distinctively reflective and sleek, while new titanium cases are available in natural, gold, and slate and have a spectacular jewelry-like shine.
Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 (U.S.). Apple Watch SE is available starting at $249.
