Microsoft launches an update to its generative artificial intelligence in Microsoft 365 Copilot. The tech giant has added new Copilot pages and features in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive, Outlook, and Teams. These novel features specifically focus on improving workflow productivity, security, and collaboration.
The core of these new updates is the expansion of Microsoft Copilot. It is a platform that lets you create a persistent collaborative document with Copilot as a tool to offer assistance with online research. This also enables you to share and invite colleagues or others to contribute and work together.
It facilitates real-time collaboration between humans and Artificial intelligence, making all organizational content useful again and again.
The copilot feature in the core of Microsoft 365 apps is another remarkable addition.
In Excel, with the use of Python, Copilot is available on the toolbar, enabling users to conduct advanced data analysis without coding. It is capable of highlighting crucial information or creating novel columns of cells based on data scattered across multiple sheets.
For Outlook, Copilot is now capable of prioritizing emails based on various criteria like job positions and emphasizing emails sent by managers or clients. The Copilot will be able to draft emails and adjust the tone of the text. It is also capable of specifically editing certain information according to the users.
In PowerPoint, by giving a prompt to the copilot, users can create a presentation slide deck outline. The addition of brand manager tools will ensure that the refined presentation is consistent with company branding. Moreover, Google also announced that additional support for organizational images will roll out soon.
Lastly, for Teams, the Copilot makes meetings better by analyzing both spoken and chat conversations, providing a comprehensive overview of discussions. It uncovers unanswered inquiries and identifies key ideas from both verbal and written exchanges.
