Apple has spilled the beans about their big keynote at WWDC on June 10. And, it’s going to be a week packed with all things tech-tastic.

A couple of hours later, at 1 p.m. PDT, Apple will get into the nitty-gritty with the “Platforms State of the Union.” This is where they’ll spill the beans on what’s new with iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS.

If you’re part of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program, you’re in for a treat. There will be online labs and live forums all week. Plus, over 100 technical sessions are lined up to keep you on the edge of your seat with the latest technologies and frameworks.

And even though Apple’s keeping some secrets, here’s what we know will steal the spotlight:

Operating Systems and Software

Apple’s main attractions will be the updates to their operating systems:

  • iOS 18 and iPadOS 18: Rumor has it, we’re in for a major redesign. Plus, with Apple’s AI game strong, Siri is getting some serious upgrades. Expect AI features to spill into other apps too, like automated summaries.
  • watchOS 11 and tvOS 18: These updates might not be as flashy, but they’re sure to come with cool new tricks.
  • macOS: The next version is on the horizon, bringing fresh features and improvements.
  • visionOS: With the Apple Vision Pro launch, this will be a hot topic.

Apple’s also been busy fine-tuning its development tools. Imagine an AI that can predict and complete your code for you.

Aside from this, to make sure everything’s smooth as butter, Apple paused their feature development for a week last November just to fix all the bugs in the software.

Now, hardware usually takes the backseat at WWDC, but here’s what might be on the horizon:

  • Mac Updates: After the iPad Pro’s M4 release in May, it’s a bit foggy if the Mac lineup will get a refresh. The MacBook Pro and iMac got the M3 love in October 2023, and the M3 Air landed in early 2024. So, the Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and Mac Mini might be next but don’t hold your breath for a summer surprise.
  • M4 Rumors: Rumors suggest the M4 updates might hit the Mac mini first, likely in the fall.

USB-C Magic Accessories: We’ve been waiting forever for USB-C versions of the Magic Keyboard, Mouse, Trackpad, and AirPods Max. But don’t expect them to steal the show at the keynote.
